INFLUENTIAL

Hull City brought in Curtis Davies from Birmingham in the summer and he has so far been an influential signing for the club. Even though they have been unable to get much victories under their belt, Davies has been influential in helping the team get a solid defence at the back.

This has led to praise from midfielder Liam Rosenior. Davies was brought to the club for around £ 2.5 million, which is now looking like a bargain. The former Aston Villa defender has Premier league experience and it is showing in a team that was relegated a few years ago.

After picking up three wins in the opening seven matches, they have propelled themselves into the top half of the table. They have already taken 11 points, which is very close to the magical figure of 40 that teams looking to survive hope to achieve. Rosenior has hailed the several attributes of Davies like being quick to the ball, ability to pass the ball out of defence, and being able to pass with a lot of accuracy. Rosenior has even gone as far as saying that Davies has been the best player for Hull City this season.

The team has conceded just one goal per game and they will be hoping to maintain that record against Everton on Saturday.
“He’s a great lad. The way he is as a person is the way he plays the game. He’s honest, he’s outgoing and gives everything. He cares about every performance and other players. Not just that, he’s good on the ball, he’s quick and he makes good passes. He’s probably been the stand-out player for us this season and we need him to keep delivering. Abdoulaye Faye next to him has come in and shown his experience too,” said Rosenior.
