DAVIES DISAPPOINTED WITH DERBY LOSING LEAD

Curtis Davies is disappointed that the team Derby County lost their lead following their 1-1 draw at Pride Park Stadium. The player admitted that they could not match the energy levels of Sheffield United, hence their inability to win the first game of the year 2018.

Curtis Davies says anybody can lead the line at Derby County. David Nugent, Chris Martin and Sam Winnall have all started for the team in recent weeks as the manager found best. Martin started the new term before Nugent replaced him. He netted twice against Bolton but he has been replaced by loanee Winnall.

Winnall scored as Derby played a 1-1 draw with Birmingham City but against Cardiff, he struggled. Martin was called on but the game ended in a goalless draw. Coach Gary Rowett does not have a stable pick, rather he calls anyone that can get the job done. With the East Midlands derby match against Nottingham Forest, there is no known man to lead the pack.
